The Screen Actors Guild Awards announced their annual nominations on Thursday (Feb 4th) for the 27th edition of the ceremony.

“Da 5 Bloods,” “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” “Minari” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7” all ruled the roost with three nominations each. Also scoring individual nominations were “One Night in Miami,” “Nomadland,” “Hillbilly Elegy,” “Promising Young Woman,” “Mank,” “Sound of Metal,” “The Father,” and “Pieces of a Woman”.

The late Chadwick Boseman made history, becoming the first person to score four SAG nominations in one year for his lead performance in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” his supporting role in “Da 5 Bloods,” and for his work in the ensemble casts of both films.

“Schitt’s Creek,” “The Crown” and “Ozark” led the TV nominations with five each. Other well-performing TV titles include “Bridgerton” and “Lovecraft County” who will compete with the aforementioned three for best ensemble. “The Great,” “The Flight Attendant,” “Ted Lasso,” “Better Call Saul,” “This Is Us,” “Ramy” and “Dead to Me” also snagged individual nominations.

The SAG Awards will air on Sunday, April 4th.
