New Trailer from Sia’s Directing Debut “Music”

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sia has released the teaser trailer for her directorial debut feature “Music” featuring Kate Hudson and Sia’s long-time collaborator Maddie Ziegler. Hudson plays Zu, a newly sober drug dealer who unexpectedly becomes the new guardian of her teenage half-sister named Music (Ziegler), who is on the autism spectrum.

Zu struggles at first to care for Music, a special-needs teens, but with an inward journey of discovery – with assistance from a friendly neighbor, who possesses helpful advice from experience – soon puts her on an eye-opening path. The film will fuse big musical sequences to its narrative storytelling to show the colorful world through Music’s eyes. Leslie Odom Jr., Hector Elizondo, Mary Kay Place, Tig Notaro, Ben Schwartz and Juliette Lewis co-star.

Dallas Clayton co-wrote the script with the award-winning artist. The film is scheduled to arrive in select IMAX theaters on February 12th – the same date as the release of Sia’s new album.
